Airline Safety Soars

According to new data, 2011 was the safest year in global commercial aviation history. Granted this had more to do with emerging markets than with the largest and oldest ones, but still noteworthy.

    I find this good news indeed, especially as the flights I take are long-haul back and forth over the pond.

    I'm glad to see a positive affect on the increased safety precautions taken by the airlines.
