    it would be interesting to look at the relative cost of those services – I have heard that our (oligopolistically controlled) rates in Canada are very high relative to our peer countries which would help to explain the low rate of technology adoption

    1 in 2 Americans pays for a "wireless broadband subscription"? As in a Iphone type connection? This seems highly doubtful. I have a wire broadband connection at home, and I make it wireless with my router. But this is NOT a "wireless broadband subscription". And I would think this is what most folks have at home. And certainly most folks still don't have an Iphone. Maybe most 18-30 year olds, but….
