A New Peak in Peak OIl?

While I’m firmly in the camp that says we’re not far from peak conventional oil flows, and I’m a card-carrying anti-cornuccopian, it’s worth pointing out that trying to play “spot the peak” is a mug’s game. As the following chart shows, we likely just passed the prior global liquid fuel peak, which many had decreed to be the all-time high.
