iPods and the Electrical Jevans Paradox

Great graphic in weekend NYT showing the proliferation of consumer electronics devices in U.S. homes. While these have become more efficient over time, the rapid growth in devices — from 3 to 25 per home over the last 30 years — has driven higher electrical consumption in a sort of corollary to Jevons Paradox.
