Purple Cloud Absorbs California After Budget "Deal"

The nonsensical California budget deal announced today proved that lots of crises go to waste. As expected, the state played goofy games, pushed decisions down the road and generally counted on ignorant voters being congenitally unable to do proper sums.

About the only good news is that a giant purple cloud has newly covered the state. Maybe, like the protoplasmic amoeba in Star Trek episode "The Immunity Syndrome", it will devour California and make the aggravating state go away altogether.
