Apropos of nothing in particular, three books I’m currently (re-)reading that have helped me make (marginally more) sense of things lately:
- The Quantity Theory of Insanity. Magnificently unhinged collection of short stories from a writer Martin Amis rightly says is offspring of David Lodge and J.G. Ballard.
- The Lever of Riches. On the relationship between technology, creativity and economic growth through history.
- Statistical Thinking in Sports. Current academic research in statistics and sports, with a particular eye toward using data to implode myths.
