Banknotes, Scientists and Mathematicians

Physicist Jacob Bourjaily's  collection of banknotes containing pictures of famous scientists and mathematicians is a geekish treasure trove. I'm particularly fond of the German note sporting Carl Friedrich Gauss:

Interestingly, despite the U.S. arguably being the foremost country in the world in advancing modern science, no 20th century U.S. scientist is represented on these notes. With the exceptions of Franklin and Jefferson, who were polymaths and politicians too, the U.S. is entirely absent from this collection of scientists on banknotes. There is no Crick, Watson, Fleming, Goddard, Salk, Turing, etc.
