IPOs: Changyou and the Gielda Papierow Wartosciowych Tragedy

It was a very good day for Chinese gaming company Changyou.com. Ticker CYOU, the new IPO rose 25% today, making it among the five best performing IPOs in the last year (which admittedly isn’t saying much given the dearth of IPOs).

On the other hand, overlooked in recent weeks was the tragic and heart-breaking withdrawal from IPO registration of Gielda Papierow Wartosciowych. The Polish firm was way out in front and extending its lead in the longest time from initial IPO registration to eventual withdrawal.
