Book of Week: Lords of Finance

I just finished reading Liaquat Ahamed’s book Lords of Finance: The Bankers Who Broke the World, and I enjoyed it immensely. It is the story of how four central bankers played a much larger role than anyone previously understood in causing the Great Depression. The book is learned, quirky, expansive, analytical, agenda-free and very readable.

Important and highly recommended.
