Heading for the Global Mono-Currency
The following is a graph of the number of currencies per country worldwide over the last 60 years. While the number of planetary currencies grew in impressive fashion over the period, the bull market in new currencies now seems to be over, with seventeen currencies disappearing over the last dozen years. The number of countries is still growing, however, with the result being a decline in the number of currencies/country.
In case anyone’s curious, this means we will be down to a single global currency by January of 2105. Put a note in your grandchildrens’ calendar to make sure they have finished reading Revelations and have closed all their forex positions by then.
