Intel Provides Zen Guidance

Eric Savitz at Barron’s thinks Intel is trying out some sort of Zen earnings guidance:

As for Q1 guidance, the company said that “due to economic and uncertainty and limited visibility,” it is not provide a revenue outlook. But it also said that “for internal planning purposes,” the company is planning for revenue in the vicinity of $7 billion. It’s like some sort of mysterious Zen koan – when is guidance not actually guidance?
