We saw this in Austin. The housing boom in the 80's created a lot of cheap housing, which just turned into crumbling neighborhoods when the bottom dropped out of the market. It's a good point about the quality of the houses. Also, I'm scared to imagine how these houses will look in ten years, huge identical houses on tiny lots with narrow streets.
