CES: Calling a Consumer Electronics Top, Best Buy, etc.
Meant to post this some time ago, but with Best Buy cutting its earnings forecast today, it reminded me that I recently spoke to organizers of the annual Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas and obtained historical data on exhibitors and attendance trends. With major news networks blanketing the show this year, bloggers making pilgrimages there in WiFi-equipped buses, and the economy weakening, did 2008 just see the (near term) peak?
