AOL: Resurgent with Finance Portal?
I'm generally liking the new Finance portal at AOL. I only spotted the traffic growth via in peppering my referral logs, having missed the mention at TechCrunch, but it is nicely done. Clean, informative, and lots of realtime/unique/interesting news and financial data.
Here is the Apple stock link.

nothing personal but I just don't know why they wasted their time and money and yet another also-ran. as noted on fastmoney the other evening, yahoo finance is pervasive. no matter what I look at I always come back to it. same with yahoo home page because it allows me to show the news I want and it's the least obnoxious overall.
You think? While I use Yahoo Finance regularly, I definitely wouldn't cede the market to it. There is lots of room for innovation here, whether by Yahoo or others.

My favorite tool on the new AOL Finance is the headline section which separates them between news, trade pubs, blogs and actual press releases from the company.
Sites such as Yahoo Finance clump them all together, making it impossible to find actual company press releases - especially those of bigger companies such as Apple and Google. This feature alone will probably lead me to switch over permanently.
A very easy fix and a very big user friendly tool. Congrats to Marty Moe and his team.

George
