Nasdaq Gunning for Eight Straight (Down, That Is)
With the market having turned for the worse today, the Nasdaq Composite is now down again. If it closes the day in the red, that will make it eight straight down days. Assuming so, that would be the longest slide since May of 2006.
And if we make it one more, to 9 down days on the Nasdaq? That would make it the longest Nasdaq slide since May of 1984, when the market fell for 16 straight days, setting the index's all-time slide record.
