Accelerating Online Ad Spending in 2008
JPMorgan's new 312-page "Nothing but Net" report on the outlook for Internet-related tech equities in 2008 is good reading, but the initial headline takeaway is a big ramp in the forecast for online ad spending this year. From a prior estimate of 19.9%, analyst Imran Khan and team have ratcheted their forecast for U.S. paid search growth waaaay up to 31.9%.
Lots more good reading in the report, including a slight mea culpa from the authors about having over-estimated video advertising revenue growth in 2007. I may excerpt some other bits later.

increase makes a ton of sense...PPC is fast becoming the defacto default marketing tool. in twelve months, I would lay a $20 that they will increase their 09 estimates too...
