FOMC: Scanning the Minutes

The FOMC cheated in released the newly revised minutes. Instead of putting ‘em out in a HTML form, it released them as a PDF. That’s hardly fair: I couldn’t bookmark the right location because the filetype had changed. Cheaters.

More importantly, instead of having a few bazillion people trying to download a small and lightweight HTML file at the same time, we now have a few bazillion people trying to download a much larger PDF file at the same time. The result? The FOMC site is pretty much locked-up solid. How nice.
