The San Diego fires aren’t over, but I’m very briefly on the road. I’m on a one-day up-and-back trip to San Francisco to do a previously-scheduled (private) presentation on venture capital, .400 hitting and the redemption of Immanuel Velikovsky.

Ha, fair point. I was taking a certain amount of artistic liberty with the word “redemption” in Velikovsky’s case. It was more the idea that catastrophism got a bad name after the Velikovsky affair, and it needs to seen as less tarnished than it has become.
