Books: Awful Splendour
I've 'fessed up a number of times to being a Stephen Pyne junkie, with his magnificent Fire in America now nearly thumbed to collapse. With that in mind, I'm understandably looking forward to his new book, due out next week from UBC Press, called "Awful Splendour: A Fire History of Canada". I can hardly wait.
