CBS Marketwatch Goes Digg / Finance 2.0
Some highly funky Digg-style stuff in a highly Web 2.0-ish community update to CBS Marketwatch. In essence, they have created a Digg-style page, complete with comments, recommendations, ticker picks, etc.Curious about thoughts. Anyone out there think they would use this? I'm a little googly-eyed at all the eye candy.

Wow -- googly-eyed is right. And not in a good way. That gave me a headache just looking at it, let alone trying to make sense of it. I think the idea is sound, but the execution needs some work.
well, it's beta...I say give 'em your feedback and see how they improve it
by the way, it's not CBS Marketwatch anymore -- it's a Dow Jones subsidiary (see http://www3.marketwatch.com/siteinfo/)
they have a large operation based right here in Minneapolis

Graeme

It's rather nice, but the UI isn't particularly interactive. It looks like it has all the right elements of the so-called Web 2.0 look and feel, but does not have much in the way of rich GUI.
I mean, there is some level of interactivity (e.g. moving the mouse over the various stocks automatically changes the graph on the right hand side) etc. But for the most part, it has a very Web 2.0 look but does not seem particularly dynamic. It is also missing some customizability, which would have been great.
Would I use it? Maybe if I had some level of control over what I can see and how I see it. Otherwise, it looks great but seems to cause an information overload. Then again, it could just be me! :)
