Blackberry Bernanke: Must. Get. To. Level. Four. in.BrickBreaker
Ben Bernanke is apparently a Blackberry junkie. Bloomberg just showed shaky zoom footage of the Fed chair Blackberry-ing away among a group of three bankers in Jackson Hole today. The AP captured it from a different angle. (And the trouble with the German Bundesbank is that President Axel Weber uses some nasty-looking Samsung fliphone. Hey, how can be a credible central banker via voice only. Troglodyte.)
There is something whimsically reassuring about knowing the U.S. financial system is being managed via Canadians from cow country near Waterloo, Ontario. Damn Canadians. It's not enough for their dollar to pass the U.S. dollar, nor that they are all massed within 60 miles of the U.S. border. They also have to run the Fed.
As an aside, am I the only one who thinks Bernanke and Google scientist Vint Cerf must have been separated at birth?

Actually, on the Bloomberg TV footage you could tell the device was black. So, no Treo!
When did the Canadian dollar pass the U.S. $? I see U.S. $ still being up, though marginally.
Traveling has definitely gotten a lot more expensive in the last few years.

Paul, how do you know it's not a Treo? (Answer: Because it works.) But seriously.... the Canadian in you is showing.
