I'm a fan of Ron Conway's marker-centric approach to seed investing -- make lots of small bets -- but quoting him is fraught with entertaining peril. You see that in text form via a Jason Pontin piece on Kevin Rose and Pownce in the weekend NY Times:“[Kevin Rose] is super-smart, friendly, humble and a team-builder — a perfect combination for a great entrepreneur,†said Ron Conway, who has invested in Digg and Revision3 and was an early investor in Google.
