Data Indicates Yahoo’s Marketshare Gains Were Temporary: Yahoo’s Panama was modestly successful but only temporarily haltedGoogle’s gains in marketshare. Google accounted for 77% of total search spend across SearchIgnite’s client-base in 2Q07, up from 60% in 2Q06. Moreover, the data shows a reduced eCPM for Yahoo in May/June (vs. last year’s levels), down 4% for the quarter. Google eCPM rose 26% y/y in 2Q.
