Geekdad-ing on the Making of Planet Earth

I have a short post over at Geekdad about my older son and I’s current infatuation with the Planet Earth series on Discovery Channel HD. In particular, the last episode on the making of Planet Earth is absolutely fascinating.

    Incredible series. If anything is going to make me go out and buy a big-screen HDTV, this is it.

    Me and my better half both love the series very much. The last bit of “behind the scene” footage for each episode was always highly anticipated. Great stuff.

    Agreed – the Planet Earth series is absolutely amazing. We watch it as a family on a 44″ DLP HD box and I have caught myself several times noticing new details on things (animals, trees, etc) that I had never seen before.
    I am especially taken aback at the shadows of animals as seen from above. The clarity is piercing.
