NameMedia and Upscale Domainers
The NYT has a decent piece in Monday's paper about NameMedia, the well-capitalized domaining company with more than $100m behind it. It competes with iREIT and Marchex, among others.Some quick stats:
- 1.4 million domain names
- 60-million monthly visitors
- Backed by Summit and Highland, plus GS debt
- Company revenue doubled to $60-million in 2006

these guys constantly keep hyping domain name values to push prices up. having dealt with most of these big mouths, they don't wanna pay more than a $100 for a decent portfolio.
they constantly lie of their profits and never mention of expenses. show the financials of p&l and we will believe.
