U.S. Online Ad Spending, by Format

From today's WSJ, U.S. online ad spending by format. While it's starting from a small base, the fastest grower in recent years is rich media/video, which ties nicely into Google's YouTube buy:

"The biggest innovation in the advertising industry during the last 70 years before digital was color TV," says Ajaz Ahmed, chairman and co-founder of independent digital marketing agency AKQA. "The agency of the future will be half a software company and half an entertainment company because that's the new landscape."

Paul dont you think the growth is logical. Just one reason more people getting online. May be I think people become more intelligent after a while and they stopped clicking non relevant ads.

There is a huge growth in emerging countries internet potential. 2 reasons. Just
1. Its inevitable.
2 What will be next thing otherwise

What will be the nest thing?
Probably some machine with artificial intelligence and take more control and only allow to make you visist relevant sites. Kinda stmble upon automated with key points interesting to you highlighted. Any comments.
