Murdoch wants the DJ escutcheon, not the Wall Street Journal. The DJ brand would insure that the new Fox Financial channel would not be seen as just another CNNfn.
This is a lot like the YouTube deal, except that the Dow Jones brand is worth much more than three times the YouTube brand.
