Microsoft and the Memo Thing
Everyone is gabbing about a leaked, confidential Waggener-Edstrom briefing memo prepared for a recent Wired magazine profile of Microsoft. Spending as much time around the media industry as I do, I know this stuff goes on, and there is nothing in there that surprises me -- and so it mostly surprises me that anyone is surprised.To be honest, the main reaction I had was despair at the amount of effort that goes into managing something so inconsequential, but, to be momentarily nihilistic, you could say that about life in general too.
