DST Dooms Desktop (Again)

Zoli is arguing that the DST debacle proves (again) that desktop software is (still) doomed. Too many points of possible failure, too difficult for real people to manage.

I couldn't agree more, and I'm already there. I do very little offline any more, from email on outward.
