Sad Passing in Venture Capital

Some very sad news in venture capital: Todd Brooks, formerly of Mayfield and Jafco, died Thursday of an apparent suicide attempt. He was 46 years old, and had a wife and three children. I only met Todd once, so I can’t say I knew him well, but he struck me as a highly decent and driven guy.

More here and here; and here is a column Brooks wrote for NetworkWorld back in early 2003.
