Venture Capital & Upscale Sudoku Solvers
In a 24-hour period today we had two upscale (or at least offbeat) demonstrations of Sudoku solvers. On the one hand we had D-Wave showing off how $20-million worth of venture capital had produced a prototype quantum computer that could solve Sudoku puzzles; while on the other hand we had Katie Boehret in the WSJ doing Sudoku on mere Treos and iPods.C'mon Katie! Given the choice, what right-thinking geek wouldn't go with the quantum computer? Broaden your review!
