Historical Weather Data
For we weather buffs only: Weatherbug now has some nifty historical weather data. I'm still looking for a good source of live global data, but this is still fun.

Years ago I worked at Center for Clouds, Climate, and Chemistry (C4) at Scripps. At that time they had a significant amount near real-time in-depth weather data from all over the world that they would store in a publicly digestible format (netCDF). You can dig into that to see if it's available somewhere, or ping me and I can see if anybody I know is still there.
