Amazon & Wal-mart: Get On With the Acquisition Already
Okay, Wal-mart is seeing a same-store sales decline year-over-year while its web presence whiffed badly last week, and Amazon wants to abandon online commerce and be a provider of virtualization services -- S3, etc. -- to other companies.Can we please get this damn acquisition over with already? I'll even make introductions.

You've got it all wrong. Internally, there's much respect for Wal-Mart, but they are also the the company that many top-level Amazonians want to topple. Acquisition? No. Bitter and Passive Rivals? Yes.
