Primack/Thomson Launches PE Hub
Dan Primack at Thomson has launched PE Hub, a blog-centric locus for all things private equity from a Thomson perspective. I like it -- which is no surprise, given that I've always liked Dan's perspective on things. My sole criticism: I could do without the cartoon contributor photos. They're a little too self-consciously "look ma, I'm writing on a blog".

Now, now, be nice. I have no problems with pictures of contributors on blogs. I actually think it humanizes the place, as well as putting a face on an otherwise impersonal site. I frankly wish more people did it.
But when a corporation starts doing cartoon versions of contributors, that strikes me as a little self-consciously hip. Does it take anything away from Dan's site? Nah, Dan's great, and I'd read him with side-pics of kangaroos.

...and please do tell us Mr. Kedrosky, what about your picture on your blog is that for Mom to see too....
