Off the Map

I'm traveling most of the day tomorrow (Wednesday), and pretty much off the grid. If I weren't off the grid I'd say:

• The NY Times story about Yahoo struggling under the weight of ... not being Google is an unsurprising and fairly typical second-day story
• Google Docs is a fine idea, but feels a little rushed, with some features hard to find (how do you create spreadsheets in the bundle?), and various links not working

I got myself into a continental split this week, with me having originally planned to attend the timely Office 2.0 conference in San Francisco with Avi and Andrew from Dabble DB, but instead I find myself winging to the other side of the country to give a talk on venture investing "Off the Map". I'll put the slides up on Slideshare when I get a moment upon my return.
