HP/Dunn: "Notable for a Lack of Close Supervision"
While I haven't written much about the HP/Dunn episode lately, it's mostly been because there hasn't been any new information that either advanced the story or changed my view. A piece in the N.Y. Times tonight does move the story forward. It is now clear that the HP-hired investigators used dubious techniques early, and with at least partial knowledge of company officials. Board (read: Dunn) oversight of the investigation was, say the NYT writers in a delicious bit of understatement, "notable for a lack of close supervision".
