Tom Peters to Patricia Dunn: Step Down
Management guru Tom Peters has weighed in on the Patricia Dunn scandal at HP. He puts it succinctly:Your watch. Your responsibility. That's the whole damn point of a chain of command—in Iraq or Palo Alto.Step down, Ms Dunn.
Of course, consummate boardroom politician that she is, Ms. Dunn could argue that she has stepped down -- she will no longer be chair. But that still strikes me as the sort of slippery non-distinction that will eventually catch up with HP.
