Murdoch's Media Mogul Meeting
Starting this weekend at Pebble Beach Rupert Murdoch, chairman of Fox Corp., is hosting a meeting of the media moguls. Modelled after Herb Allen's recently-completed annual Sun Valley event, Murdoch has the glitterati of the media and entertainment business coming to a multi-day event event at posh Pebble.According to the L.A. Times, which obtained the five-page agenda, these are just some of the people attending and presenting over the four-day event: Tony Blair, Bill Clinton, Shimon Peres, Al Gore, Bono, Arnold Schwarzenegger, A.G. Lafley (P&G CEO), Bill Beane (Oakland A's), New Gingrich, and Larry Summers. The sessions will also include the seemingly obligatory these days youth panel, with 20 students in a sesion called "Meet the MySpace Generation".
For those you, like me, not on the invite list, you can get your Murdoch fix via his recent one-hour appearance on Charlie Rose:

Sounds like a giant wank-fest. What the hell do Tony Blair and Bill Clinton and Bono know about the media, except how to get some?
