Calacanis on Calacanis

The trouble with reading anything about Jason Calacanis is that it’s so darn hard to get past the feeling that he is looking over your virtual shoulder and really, really enjoying knowing that you are reading about him. It seems fairly certain that he doesn’t care whether what is written is even nice — and John Heilemann’s new piece in New York Magazine isn’t a masher note — just so long as people are reading and writing about him.

Anyway, Heilemann’s piece on Calacanis is worth reading, even if you feel you have to mentally scratch out Jason’s name and replace it with someone else’s just to avoid that anti-schadenfreude feeling (discomfort at someone else’s joy).
