Entrepreneurship and Getting Hit by a Pitch
I've long argued that luck & success in entrepreneurship are closely tied to longevity -- the longer you hang around and keep trying, the greater the chance you eventually get lucky -- and a Forrester analyst captures the point nicely in talking about how some near-death dot-coms have surged of late on ad spending:"The thing the older sites did well was stay alive long enough for the rise of Google," she said. "They got hit by a pitch."
