I think Dell, Microsoft, and everyone else who has recently released bad news can learn from Patrick Byrne. Last night the Overstock CEO put out a press release saying he "celebrates" an SEC subpoena for the company's accounting files and the like.My suggestion:
- Microsoft: "We celebrate the news that investors are unhappy about our $2-billion in unexpected costs!"
- Dell: "We celebrate that we had lower than expected sales and earnings in the current quarter!"
