Hanging with UCLA Economists
I spent the first part of the morning at the annual UCLA economic forecast presentation. It was surprisingly interesting, albeit over-focused on real estate. You would think that the SoCal economy was exclusively about buying and selling homes and condos, given the amount of time and attention paid to the subject. Granted, the forecasters called it a bubble, but it was remarkable how little time was spent on the supposed real industrial drivers of the California ecomomy.
