Power Tips for Mingling
I sometimes feel as I spend entire weeks mingling, so it has become a fixation of mine to become better and more efficient at it. With that in mind, this rule of thumb is great:Always enter a conversation with a drink you are about to finish.[via Lifehacker]
If things don't go well, all you need to do is take one last gulp from your drink and excuse yourself to get another, never to return.

My view is that this dangerous technique must be used selectively. Only deploy it when entering a risky conversation with largely unknown counterparties.

Isn't that also a route to drunken disgrace?
