Another Private Equity Megafund Looms

The Daily Deal has the news that private equity outfit J.C. Flowers & Co., LLC, is going out raising money for its second fund, one that may come in 5.6-times larger than its barely four-year-old first fund of $900mm raised in 2002. The original target for the second fund was $3-billion, and insiders are apparently saying that there is enough extant appetite to drive it to $5-billion. Impressive.
