American Idol and Text Messaging

From a Cingular press release this morning on text messaging and the American Idol program:

  • Season 2: 7.5-million messages
  • Season 3: 13.5-million mesages
  • Season 4: 41.5-million messages (Cingular combined with AT&T Wireless)

Remarkable stuff, with Cingular really leading the way in driving a “two-screen” approach to a broadcast program.
