JupiterKagan: Consolidation in the Technology Research Business

The IT market research shoals continue to be a tricky place to navigate. The business has never truly recovering after the dot-com bust and the end of big enterprise software buys. The latest example: Consolidation, with JupiterResearch merging with Kagan to form a new firm, JupiterKagan.

(As an side, how much longer until Forrester merges into Gartner, IDC, or equivalent? Mind you, the company's stock has risen nicely of late, and CEO/founder Colony has put in place a raft of significant senior management changes.)
