When Did the Wheels Come off WoZ?
Dan Primack is being skeptical and curmudgeonly about the unannounced collapse of Wheels of Zeuss (a Steve Wozniak-founded company) in the days leading up to the Acquicor Technology blank-check IPO. No-one's commenting, with even loquacious VCs in full Sergeant Schultz ("I see nothing") mode.To be fair, of course, a business failure on Wozniak's record would hardly have kept Acquicor from raising its IPO money. But that said, it is more than a little surprising that there was no mention of WoZ's troubles in the Acquicor prospectus.
