Kleinerology: The Mystery of Ying Lee

Back to the Kleinerology beat for a moment, because the mystery of Ying Lee is now solved. The newest Kleiner Perkins partner, whose name was on the latest KP fund filing but not on the Kleiner website, is now revealed:
Prior to joining KPCB, Ying has built and managed multiple business functions as the Deputy General Manager of UTStarcom's IPTV business unit, including product management, marketing, pre-sales, business development, field support, and supply chain.

She has also worked for Ikanos Communications as the Director of Business Development and Sales in charge of the greater China region. Ying began her career at McKinsey & Co in the Silicon Valley office as a management consultant.

Ying earned a Bachelor's and Master's in Computer Science and a Bachelor's in Economics from MIT.
While it's nice to see the mystery solved, I was hoping it would stay mysterious a while longer. I was cooking up some conspiracy theories, including that Ms. Lee wasn't actually real at all, but a complex gambit to trick Sequoia into thinking that KP had opened a Shanghai office. Sadly, the theorizing is all in vain now.
