The Banality of MySpace
Even when writing left-handed (about or for other people) Nick Carr's prose is better than most people's full-bore "Look at me, Ma!" material. While I don't entirely agree with his conclusions about the over-discussed MySpace -- yes, its essential characteristic is its banality, but, as history has shown, it is in banality's seeming safeness that trouble lies -- Nick's piece is so well-written and deliciously contrarian that it is essential reading.

My reaction exactly. Great writing.
