Samuel Beckett, Entrepreneur
The current Economist contains a nicely-done remembrance of Samuel Beckett, lines from whose Endgame (along with some Doonesbury) are prefixed to my long-ago doctoral thesis. The article closes with this bleakly appropriate entrepreneur-esque snippet from Beckett's 1983 Worstward Ho:"No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better."
